| Q. How do I use the fonts? | ||
| A. The first time you place the font disc into your drive, you will need to install the Font Management System on your computer. When you first open the Font Management System, it will automatically create a backup of your installed fonts so you can easily restore your fonts at a later time if needed (this may take a few minutes depending on how many fonts you have installed). After the backup has been created, you can then preview your system fonts in the Font Management System, install new fonts from your hard drive or fonts CD, print or export fonts, and more. To preview find out what fonts are on your system or available on the 3000 Fonts CD, simply use the tabs at the bottom left of the program window. The "Installed Fonts" tab shows your currently installed fonts; the "Browse" tab allows you to locate fonts on your hard drive or fonts CD; and "Summitsoft Fonts" shows what is available on a Summitsoft font product CD (you must have the CD in your drive to view these fonts). Once you find a font you like that is not already installed on your computer, you can then "Install Font" or "Temporarily Activate" the font to make it available in your applications. "Install Font" permanently installs the selected font(s) into your system fonts folder. "Temporarily Activate" installs the selected font(s) into your system fonts folder only until your next reboot. | ||
